  Le Moulin de Quétivel

There has been a watermill on this site since before 1309. This 18th century mill was restored by The National Trust for Jersey in 1979, receiving an Award from the Civic Trust for the project. As the only working watermill in Jersey, you can view the mill-wheel in action and also explore the surrounding woodland which leads down to the Mill from the Mill Pond car park. (More …)

Le Moulin de Quétivel is located on Le Mont Fallu, in St. Peter’s Valley. There are two on-site car-parks, the one adjacent to the Mill serving as a disabled parking area. The site can also be accessed by parking at the sign-posted Mill Pond car park and following the Mill leat (stream) through the Trust-owned woodland of Le Don Gaudin, towards the Mill. The walk takes approximatively 10 minutes and you might see a red squirrel on the way !

Open Mills Day takes place at the beginning of May each year. Open from May to September, Saturday's only 10am - 4pm. The Mill will be open free to the public for the day, from 10 am to 4 pm and freshly ground wholewheat organic will be available for sale.
