Officers’ Quarters
History
Situated within Grève de Lecq Bay, the Barracks were purchased
by the Trust in1972. Constructed between 1810 and 1815 to provide accomodation
for the soldiers who guarded the Bay from French invasion, the Barracks
housed regiments of troops up until 1926. The Officer’s Quarters
provided accommodation for four officers and still retains some original
features such as the coat hooks and Board of Ordnance fireplaces. (More
